Médecins Sans Frontières

Sometimes things just go together, a hand in a glove or a leg in a stocking. Burlesque Nylons at YLJ Design is proud to announce a new association that fits just perfectly.

Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) is an international medical charity working in over 60 countries around the world. Andy Dennis is a nurse who has worked with MSF on three missions in East Africa. When not on mission Andy works at Harrogate District Hospital and spends his free time fundraising for MSF. So far over £105,000 has been raised.

I met Andy at Burlesque Without Borders a fantastic Burlesque night in Harrogate run by Lily la Belle.

My association with Andy and MSF is reinforced by my long history in the medical world having worked in and taught pharmacy for over 25 years, worked with the Samaritans and in Health education for University, College and Schools.

I am unable to help out in the field at the moment but am pleased to be able to help the work of Doctors Without Borders by offering a donation of £1 for every pair of Burlesque Nylons sold.

£1 is enough to buy one of the following:

An Oxygen mask
A reusable scalpel handle for operations
A bag of sterile Sodium Chloride to help rehydrate a sick patient
